It's possible that some internal stuff (index, etc.) in the movie file's corrupt. I think you can repair this with appropriate software. I'll what I can find to help you (if I don't forget it).

 think_1 hi rankin, i'm having a blonde moment here i'm afraid.. after unzipping 1294 venus i get *.wmv files that i try to merge using AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner... but it fails to merge the files it says... same happens with a few of the other movie files as well.
none of the files i downloaded ends with .001, .002...
